FAQ’s

Do I have to register or pay for membership before I come and play at
Parents Paradise?

Currently, we work on a first come, first serve basis.  Registration is not required and we do not operate a membership scheme.  However, this may change in the future, so please stay up-to-date on Facebook.

We do offer a FREE loyalty card when you join Percy’s Club.  Join us online or ask at reception.

What age child do you cater for?

Parents Paradise caters for babies all the way up to 11 year olds.

Why don’t you charge for adults?

Whilst our competitors will charge adult admissions, we don’t!  If adults don’t bring the children to our centre, how else would they get here?!

How much are go kart rides?

Go karts are charged at £1.00 per ride.

Is there parking?

We have a limited number of free parking spaces (approx 80) by the centre.  If it’s a busy day, please park on Park Avenue and walk the short distance to the play centre.

How will I know if the centre might be busy when I want to visit?

If it’s a weekend or school holidays and it’s raining, we’ll be busy!  We will enforce our 2 hour maximum stay policy on these days, so that everyone gets their chance to play. Visit us on Facebook for the latest information.

Do you have a Café?

The Parents Paradise Café is 5-star rated by our Environmental Health Officer at Hertsmere Council!  We sell a wide selection of hot and cold meals, fresh Italian coffee and much, much more.  We take a special interest in children’s nutrition and provide freshly prepared meals.

Why can’t I bring in my own food or drink?

The Parents Paradise Café will cater, pretty much, to your every need.  So just as you wouldn’t take your own food or drink to a fast-food outlet or a restaurant, you are kindly asked not to bring it into Parents ParadiseFor those of you with babies under the age of 1, you are more than welcome to bring your own baby food and bottles.  We have bottle warming facilities and a microwave to help you.

But my child has allergies…?

Please ask for assistance from our Café staff when ordering your food, we are very aware of the wide variety of allergies and dietary requirements that now exist, and will cater for your child where we can. We also have a selection of “free-from” foods in stock.  If your child has very severe allergies please eat before or after visiting Parents Paradise as you are unable to consume your own food or drink on the premises.

Do you offer Kosher or Halal food?

We offer neither, I’m afraid.  If you strictly adhere to a Kosher or Halal diet, please eat before or after visiting Parents Paradise.  Please do not bring your own food and drink into the play centre..

Can I take photographs of my child?

Cameras can be used at Parents Paradise, however, we ask you to be mindful of other customers and their privacy. Photos may only be taken of your children and their guests.

Why do I have to wear socks or tights all the time?

Bare feet are not hygienic and also little feet may experience slide burns from the slides.  So, it’s an all round safety and hygiene policy to protect all of our customers.

Can my little one play on the big play frame?

You should supervise your children at all times, but if you have an adventurous 3 year old who wants to play on the over5s play frame, that’s fine, as long as you accompany them.

What facilities do you have for babies?

We have a separate padded baby play area, where you can sit and chat with other parents whilst playing with your own baby.  This includes a selection of toys and a swing (Tuesday-Friday).  We have baby changing facilities and a nappy bin in the disabled toilet. We also offer a microwave and baby bottle warmers for you to heat up baby food.  The Parents Paradise Café also sells baby food (small and large jars), cartons of baby milk, bibs, dummies, sterilised bottles and nappies.

Will you be opening a Parents Paradise anywhere else?

At the present time, you will only find us in Bushey.  Please stay up-to-date on Facebook or Twitter where we would announce the arrival of any new play centres.
